2017 will be the first year of the Red Dirt Ultra, and we couldn't be more excited about it!
DATE: 2/4/2017
DISTANCES: 50k, 100k, 100 miles
TIME: 100 mile, 100k, and 50k start - 6:00 a.m.
TIME LIMIT: 34 hour cutoff for the 100 milers. The course will be closed at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2017. No exceptions. The 50k & 100k'ers also have until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday to finish (hopefully it won't take that long).
WHERE? The beautiful Sandstone Trail in Kisatchie National Forest, near historic Natchitoches, Louisiana. Here is a view from the helmet cam of a dirt biker enjoying the trail. Keep in mind that when we are out there, the trail will be closed to all motorized vehicles, so we won't have to worry about these guys.

DETAILS: This trail is a 31 mile loop. The 50k'ers will do one loop, the 100k'ers two loops, and the 100 milers will do a short out and back, followed by three loops.

When traveling to Louisiana for the Red Dirt Ultra, consider experiencing a bit of our history and spend some time in the beautiful Natchitoches, Louisiana.

Filled with B&B's as well as traditional hotels, quaint shops and wonderful food, this city has something for everyone!
